We are looking for an experienced freelance Exhibition Curator & Event Coordinator to support the planning, curation and delivery of the We Are Sheffield exhibition and launch event at Millennium Gallery on 8th October 2026.
Working alongside the We Are Sheffield Programme Lead, the successful freelancer will coordinate the exhibition from planning through to installation, bringing together stories, photography and exhibition content that celebrates the contribution of Sheffield’s voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise (VCFSE) sector.
As well as coordinating exhibition production, the role will involve working with community contributors, volunteers, designers, suppliers and gallery staff to deliver the exhibition and launch event. The right person will have experience coordinating exhibitions, events or public engagement projects and be confident managing multiple priorities, building strong relationships and delivering projects to a high professional standard.
This is a freelance consultancy opportunity with a fixed project fee of £3,500. The consultancy is expected to take around 15 days between August and October 2026 (approximately 1.5 days per week), with flexibility around how the work is delivered, alongside attendance at agreed meetings and key project dates in Sheffield.
