At VAS, we believe in nurturing the next generation of leaders, equipping them with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to drive positive change in their communities. Our Future Generation initiative is anchored in two transformative projects: the Sheffield Youth Neighbourhoods and Communities Project and the Emergent Leaders program.
Sheffield Youth Neighbourhoods and Communities Projects
This project engages young people in shaping the future of their neighbourhoods. By providing a platform for youth voices to be heard, we empower them to actively participate in local decision-making processes.
Our goal is to foster a sense of belonging and responsibility among the youth, ensuring they are not just beneficiaries of change but active agents in creating it through workshops, community events, and collaborative projects, we equip young people with essential skills in leadership, teamwork, and advocacy.
Emergent Leaders
Our Emergent Leaders program focuses on cultivating the next wave of community leaders. Designed for young individuals who show promise and ambition, this program offers mentorship, training, and real-world experience in leadership roles. Participants engage in skill-building workshops, networking opportunities, and hands-on projects that challenge them to think critically and act decisively. We believe that investing in our youth today will create a brighter, more equitable future for all.
