Kay Dickinson

As a proud Sheffielder Kay is keen to contribute to helping make the city a great place to live and work so, since leaving full-time employment in 2013, Kay got involved with a number of local organisations and initiatives. Kay successfully used her knowledge and skills at Sheffield-based social housing provider, Arches Housing Ltd, where she recently took over as Chair; as a trustee of NOCN Ltd – a qualifications awarding organisation which aims to increase learners’ confidence and employability and help them reach their potential; and with Sheffield First Partnership on the ‘Recognising and Valuing Female Talent’ initiative.

As well as working for various companies in the private sector, Kay spent 10 years in the health service and 11 years as Executive Director in skills-related public bodies. Although an Accountant with a background in finance, Kay also has lots of expertise in areas such as strategy development and planning; managing organisational performance and delivery; change management; corporate governance, risk management and internal control, all of which helps VAS to continued success.
