Adam Micklethwaite is Director of Digital Inclusion at Good Things Foundation, a national charity based in Sheffield working to ensure everyone in society can benefit from digital. Good Things Foundation supports vulnerable people to improve their lives through digital by helping community organisations build digital into their social mission. Adam leads Good Things’ digital inclusion partnerships and programmes, working with the UK Government, local government and private sector partners.
Before joining Good Things, Adam was a Senior Civil Servant in the UK Government, leading a range of policy and delivery programmes in skills, enterprise and lifelong learning, including the creation of the National Careers Service, the establishment of Local Enterprise Partnership growth hubs providing support to small businesses, and the implementation of student loans in Further Education. Adam is committed to building innovative partnerships and championing digital for all.
Adam brings to the VAS Board his strategic insight from developing national Government policy in skills and lifelong learning, and his national perspective in working with Government and other national partners to design and deliver social programmes that create deep impact at scale.
