State of the voluntary and community sector in Sheffield 2018

17th July 2018

We have commissioned Sheffield University to do some research to better understand the state of the voluntary and community sector in Sheffield.  Please tell us your experience of the sector, and of volunteering so that we can build a picture of what we do as a sector, the contribution we make to the city, and the issues we face.

There are two surveys to complete, one for organisations, one for volunteers.  Links are below.

Complete the  Sheffield Volunteering Survey link – this will help us to understand and promote the volunteering that takes place in Sheffield, as well as help identify where we can improve.

Complete the Sheffield Third Sector Organisations survey –  to help us collate information about the size and scale of the work organisations are delivering, and the issues we face.

This survey follows on from a 2016 report, when we surveyed support the people and communities of Sheffield on the social and economic impact of the voluntary and community sector. We also looked at volunteering across the city.

You can see the full version of the report here

Each completed questionnaire will be entered in a prize draw for £150 towards VAS services, as well as building up evidence of scale and impact for the sector collectively on which we can all draw.
