Voluntary Action Sheffield has a Procurement Support Project which:
- Provides support and advice to those organisations in the third sector that are looking to deliver public services and to win competitive contracts to do so
- Works with contracting organisations to improve access to the procurement process and simplifies the documentation and the processes
We will work with any organisation in the Sheffield area and any infrastructure organisation across the South Yorkshire Sub Region.
We provide one to one consultations with organisation as well as presentations and workshops to groups of organisations. Please follow the links to get more information on our range of support options.

Support
'Consortium Toolkit' resource available - VAS has produced a 'Consortium Toolkit' - a manual and CD designed to guide and support third sector organisations who are developing, or considering developing, a consortia.
The Toolkit contains model documents, templates and business planning tools to create a business strategy that will equip organisations to make robust decisions. This resource is available from VAS, costing £25.
A practical and intensive one-day workshop is also available to organisations purchasing the Toolkit. This valuable session provides further support and guidance in exploring the issues and considerations when establishing a consortium.
For more details or to request a copy of the Toolkit please email info@vas.org.uk or call 0114 253 6600.
- Consortia Support - we help organisations who want to work in partnership, in order to win contracts, to form themselves into Consortia. These are based around common areas of service delivery; e.g. health or children and young people's services. We are in the process of developing a Consortium Toolkit which sets out the process and provides practical support.
- One to one advice - we are happy to sit down with organisations and discuss what procurement is all about, how it might affect them, what they need to take into account if they're going to go down this route. We can also signpost organisations into appropriate local consortia and put them in touch with commissioners who may have an interest in buying their services.
