Managed Email Service

VAS offers a managed email service looking after your mailboxes, providing a professional, secure and fully supported Outlook package. Through Outlook Web Access you can access your emails anywhere with an internet connection. Please see the leaflet for full details.

Anti virus and anti spam protection is included in your package. Prices are:
£150 initial setup fee and then £50 annual fee per user. These prices are exclusive of VAT. Discounts are available for 10+ users.

IT Suite

Do you have IT training course needs? Need training on your own specific software systems? IT interview testing?

VAS has a fully equipped IT Suite available for hire, based in the city centre of Sheffield. The Suite contains 12 Windows XP PC's with access to the internet. Costs start from £108 for half day and £162 for a full day. See full details at http://www.thecirclesheffield.org.uk/it_suite

ICT Training

We run courses on the full range of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and Access and more specialist packages such as Microsoft Project. Ring the ICT Advice team on (0114) 2536610, 2536612, 2536611 or 2536613 for details.

The Service is also able to tailor courses to your organisations needs.

Intermediate Microsoft Access 2003 - 9 March 2010 All day

This course will help you to: Create and use the Access action queries; Plan a relational database; Develop a relational database

This course will help you to: Set flags; Create distribution lists; Create and maintain contacts; Use the calendar for meetings and appointments

Advanced Microsoft Excel 2003 - 28 April 2010 All day

This course will help you to: Understand templates and styles; Hide workbooks and worksheets; Group and ungroup sheets; Hide and display cells; Create pivot tables; Query data from a website

Advanced Microsoft Access 2003 - 18 May 2010 All day

The course will help you to: Create different types of form interfaces, such as popup and modal; Create a switchboard; Use Report snapshots; Have a brief overview of SQL (Structured Query Language); Work with macros

NEW Introduction to Photoshop Elements - 20 July 2010 All day

This course will help you to: Work with the PhotoShop elements interface; Understand the tools available; Use layers; Use effects.

ICT Advice Service

VAS have an ICT Advice Service which is available to all voluntary and community groups in Sheffield. The service aims to develop understanding of information technology, no matter where the starting point is and to guide each organisation in such a way that it is able to use ICT effectively. The service provides a wide range of support and guidance including:

hardware - e.g. hard disks, floppy disks, CD's
software - e.g. word processing, database
backup and security of data
virus protection

Subscription pack options

Telephone and email support is available through the purchase of a Subscription Pack. The cost depends on the number of computers (including servers) and starts from £195 per year. The pack also includes:
