Community Accountancy Service

VAS's Community Accountancy Service (CAS) provides information, advice, support and training on financial matters to voluntary and community groups.

In particular, CAS provides:

 Year-end Independent Examinations of Accounts

  • This includes the preparation and Independent Examination of accounts. It is vital to have accounts that comply with regulations laid down by your regulatory body. This service is available to charities with an income of less than £500,000 (including charitable companies).

Charges sheet for groups under £20,000 income - contact Judith Harrison on 2536615 for a quote for groups with an income over £20,000.

Training and Support on Accounting Systems, including Computer Accounting Packages

  • We can provide tailored training charged at an hourly rate, or alternatively look at our extensive financial training programme in the Training Section.

Group Support

  • We can provide support on a one-to-one or group basis with accounting systems, financial management and planning and bookeeping.
