Planning and partnership work

  • Promoting and supporting the role of the voluntary and community sector (VCS) in the range of partnership bodies in health & social care services including services for children & young people.
  • Channelling information relating to health & social care to VCS organisations
  • Facilitating communication between VCS groups and with their statutory partners
  • Producing newsletters and bulletins
  • Providing support to voluntary supported accommodation projects.
  • Supporting the participation of those projects in the planning and delivery of services.

Supporting people user engagement

Supporting People is a working partnership of local government, service users, health, probation and support agencies. It delivers planning, monitoring and funding for housing related support services.

It is a Government requirement of Supporting People that all service users have an opportunity to be involved and consulted about their service.

Children and young people's partnership network

The Children and Young People's Partnership Network is a network of voluntary, community and faith organisations working with children and young people in Sheffield and Voluntary Action Sheffield supports this growing network in a number of ways including:

* representation and consultation on issues of local and national significance
* organising Children and Young People's Network meetings for voluntary, community and faith groups
* providing training
* providing networking and linking opportunities
* regular mailings of relevant information on policy, practice and funding
