The Compacts
Sheffield currently has two Compacts:Sheffield Compact, which is an agreement between Sheffield City Council and the local voluntary and community sector (VCS)
Sheffield Health Compact, which is an agreement between NHS Sheffield and the local voluntary and community sector (VCS)
We are currently working towards combining both Compacts into one Joint Compact - the Sheffield Joint Compact. This agreement will involve Sheffield City Council, NHS Sheffield and the local VCS.
Sheffield Joint Compact Delivery Board has the following aims and objectives:
- Overseeing the recommendations from the 2009 VCS review
- Keeping an overview on the policy and funding environment and taking action
- To move forward collaborative work between the VCS and public sectors
- Overseeing the combing of current Sheffield and Health Compact protocols into one document, a combined ‘fresh' approach
- Developing a joint dispute process - highlighting differences between a dispute and an appeal process
- Providing a policy steer for the future development of the Compact
- Contributing to city wide partnership work, particularly the Local Strategic Partnership
