New eMarketplace invites providers to focus group
Sheffield City Council is calling for adult social care customers, family carers, support planners and providers to get involved in plans for the new Sheffield eMarketplace.
When launched, The Sheffield eMarketplace will be a single on-line resource through which people will be able to find, assess and purchase goods, services and support directly from external providers. It will allow people with Individual Budgets, received as Direct Payments, to spend (and monitor) their budgets on the goods and services which meet their support needs.
The Sheffield eMarketplace is due to be made available for provider registration in August 2012, and formally launched for customers to make purchases through by December 2012. There will be regular focus group meetings (every fourth Wednesday of every month) at SCEDU, starting 25 July 2012, 10.00 - 11.30.
For more information and to register your attendance at any of the focus groups, please email simon.walker@sheffield.gov.uk
