Applications open for Stronger Safer Communities Reserve

Community groups and charities are being invited to submit an expression of interest to access the funding made available by South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue, which has been set aside from the Authority’s reserves. The maximum amount of funding available for each project is £100,000 and the minimum amount is £5,000. Projects should run for up to two years.


The latest funding will be allocated for projects which meet one of the following areas:

  • Water safety
  • Arson
  • Excluded groups - Inclusing BAME and faith communities, LGBT and Roma communities
  • Mental health
  • Road traffic collision
  • Health and social care

An information event is taking place on Friday 4 August at the fire service training centre in Sheffield, with limited places available. The closing date for applications is 29 September 2017.
