Activity Sheffield looking for hosts for equipment

Please see below communication from Activity Sheffield:

30 March 2017

Dear Partner

Activity Sheffield Equipment

As you may be aware, the services that Activity Sheffield provide will be changing from 1 April 2017, we have a variety of sport, play and physical activity equipment  that we have used in the past to deliver activity sessions across the city. We now want this equipment to be utilised by clubs, groups and organisations across the city to continue to help get people across the city more active.

We are therefore looking for around 5 community sites across the city to host the equipment. The clubs, groups and organisations are welcome to utilise the equipment but we are also looking for them to be able operate an equipment loan service for so other local groups. The chosen sites will need to be able to;

- Store the equipment

- Give access to community groups/users wanting to loan equipment

We will transfer the asset to the club, group or organisation meaning that they will own the equipment and be responsible for the maintenance and replacement. Sheffield City Council will then review usage of the equipment after an initial 12 month period.

Please see the attached equipment inventory for a breakdown of the equipment.

How do I apply?

We would like expressions of interest to be submitted via email to activity.sheffield@sheffield.gov.uk by Friday 14 April 12 noon, outlining what specific equipment you would like and how you would propose to operate the community equipment loan service. Within your expression of interest, outline which groups will benefit from the use of the equipment and (if part of your proposal) what the pricing/charging regime will be.

If you have any question or queries, please do not hesitate to contact us or the details above.

With very best wishes,

Jo Pearce

Head of Sport and Physical Activity
