VAS keeps a database of trainers and consultants who are available for freelance work within the sector.

Database Membership
If you wish to register with VAS, you need to download and complete a registration form and return it to Christine Healey, c.healey@vas.org.uk

Enhanced Membership

In 2006, we asked members of the VAS Trainers’ and Consultants’ database what they thought about the Invitation To Tender email service and whether they would be willing to pay a small annual fee to ensure its continuation. As a result, Enhanced Membership of the VAS Trainers’ and Consultants’ database was introduced, offering additional services suggested by members.

Here’s what you can expect from Enhanced Membership:

  • We will actively seek out new opportunities for our members from VAS’s extensive community of organisational contacts
  • We will monitor responses to ITTs and send feedback back to respondents
  • We will seek out feedback about responses from organisations whose ITTs we circulate and use it to keep you informed
  • We will offer email guidance and training workshops on responding to tenders
  • You will be more in control of your business and its continuous improvement

For the financial year 2009/10, the price of enhanced membership at £55 plus VAT. This is somewhat lower than most members suggested, but we want you to have the reassurance of a low financial risk while you try out this new service. Please download the application form here.

Please note:

We will continue to circulate all members of the Trainers’ and Consultants’ database with opportunities that are directly commissioned by and for VAS. There is no cost for this level of membership.

VAS cannot make individual recommendations unless we have previously commissioned that individual for a similar piece of work. We advise organisations to ask for references.
