PAYROLL SERVICE Voluntary Action Sheffield (VAS) exists to promote and support action by voluntary and community organisations working with the people of Sheffield for positive change. One of the support services available from VAS is a Payroll Service. We aim to provide voluntary and community groups with a professional service that, in addition to processing salaries, is committed to the development of good practice in employment. The workers have a large pool of personal knowledge and reference materials from which to draw. This information is updated on a regular basis in line with legislation changes, budget changes and other related issues affecting employers. What we offer: Monthly payslips and a payment summary detailing all payments and deductions, including payments due to the Inland Revenue. At year-end completed P14's/60's, figures for the Employers Annual Return (P35) and advice on how to complete the form. Advice and support on all aspects of PAYE including registration with the Inland Revenue. Information and advice on any issues relating to employing/paying staff. The service is designed to meet the needs of voluntary and community groups. We also offer a problem solving, training and support service to both users and non-users of the Payroll Service. For example: - Liaison with the Inland Revenue about specific issues such as over/late payments Supporting treasurers Record-keeping Absence ­ SSP/SMP The charges for this will vary according to the amount of work needed.
